If you've found your way here, chances are you're looking for a photographer, but I think it helps to know a little about who's behind the camera before you book a session. So here's my story, and how Nabors Media came to be.


Where It Started


In college, I had to take a photography course for my degree, not really expecting it to become what it is now. When two of my dad's veterinary students asked me to take their portraits, they told me I should start my own business. To be honest, I kind of laughed, but in the back of my mind I thought that might be worth a try. Even though I was in college on the path to a degree, I still had no clue what I wanted to be.


So, from that and a media internship with the National Reined Cow Horse Association, Falling J Media was born. You may be wondering what Falling J Media is, or you already know me from that business. Falling J Media was where I posted everything: portraits, sports, horses, fishing, travel, business, etc. Now, since my business is starting to kick off more, I separated the services. Falling J Media is mainly for sports, businesses, and brands. Nabors Media is for my portraits and weddings. Because why would a graduate or bride want to hire Falling J Media if all they see is team roping videos and horses? Anyways, that is why Nabors Media was created. I have always loved capturing portraits and memorable days in people's lives.

My Photography Style


If I had to describe my style in a few words: natural, true-to-color, warm, and story-driven. I lean heavily on natural light whenever possible, especially golden hour because of the way it creates soft, flattering tones. I'm not chasing overly posed, stiff photos. I want the in-between moments: the laugh before the pose, the dog mid-stretch, the real connection between the people in front of my lens.


My background in the western industry also shapes a lot of my eye for composition. I'm drawn to wide open spaces, natural textures, and settings that feel authentic rather than manufactured.
